I remember taking art classes when I was in high school with a women who welcomed all age groups for a session that was inspiring, educational and filled with enlightening exchanges between the artist and students. I wish for my classes to be as inspired by the art of seeing and creating as my memory of those classes were for me. Making a pinch pot and firing it in a pit is just as exciting for me now as it was the first time I did it in high school. Drawing the landscape across from my studio will be just as challenging and momentus a feat for a mature artist as it will be to a 13 year old creating a charcoal drawing for the very first time. Depending on where you are in your life, the scope of the challenges shift and change.
